On another note...

this is something I should have definitely already mentioned by now, apologies! But yes, please always feel free to leave feedback or comments if you want to :)

So I was at the workshop today, there are so many talented musicians and writers who go there. A fellow poet in particular who uses form and langauge brilliantly and whose work never fails to move me. Many of them are dealing with ongoing various afflictions from drugs to mental anxieties and depression. We were discussing how some of the support workers they've had, have tried to rather selfishly and ignorantly commercialise their client's success, regardless of the client's emotional or physical withstanding.

We also talked about how instead of listening to and giving actual support to their clients. They instead treat them like a product or child, giving pity and patronising them in front of peers and others. People like that should never be allowed to work with any human beings suffering emotionally and mentally because they clearly lack real intelligence, patience and intuition. It angers me so much that they use their clients for ego and higher placement and have no idea concerning the depth of trauma they cause.

Why is there still this ridiculous and infuriating stigma attached to mental health? And why does it cause such knee jerk narrow minded responses?! Personally I believe everyone no matter how mild or intense deal at times with anxiety or depression. It shouldn't be something we blindfully flee and try to isolate ourselves from. It is unfortunately part of the human condition and not something we can seperate ourselves from. And yet so many people are marginalised because society desperately lacks understanding and above all openness. Openness is key to so much and something I wish society implored so a heck of a lot more.

Although I have mainly spoken about anxiety and mental health, I feel the negatives here pertain to other topics such as race, gender(identity), sex and sexuality. Sadly they are all laden with stereotypes, stigma and danger should you put a toe outside of the constructed idealogy society steers you into. We as human beings, are far too transient and complex both mentally and emotionally for such idealogy and I wish society would fully realise this truth.

This is something I very much felt I needed to write about and mediate to hopefully(and eventually) make the world a more positive, loving and accepting one.

Another not so heavy thing we discussed at the workshop was in regards to me creating a website soon where I would post about my writing and upcoming events. I will of course blog here too about such things but I would also have a somewhat more professional platform to mediate my work as well!

I will keep you updated.

In the mean time I hope you are all happy, loved and lucky or positive enough to transcend any bullshit that others and society try and make you abide by.

More power to you, always.
